Alton Update: 77 Already Entered With 30 Days Left!

Posted on Thu Aug 27, 2009 7:53am

We're just 30 short days away from the Miles for Meso 5K run and walk, and we can feel the excitement building. In less than two weeks 77 people have already registered! News is spready fast, so we encourage all comers to register early.

The Simmons firm and Metro Tri Club met last night for our weekly planning meeting. Every effort is being made to ensure that this experience is quality from top to bottom. The race course has been reviewed, the prizes have been set (did we mention $500 for 1st place?) and we've even decided to add a bounce house to help keep kids entertained!

We also plan on having a few surprise guests. Stay tuned, register today, and tell your friends!

I am Larry Davis and was diagnosed with Mesothelioma in 2006. If it would help your race Miles for Meso I would come to St Louis and run with you- Believe in a cure. I am a Volunteer for M.A.R.F and have gotten Mesothelioma Awareness Day Proclamations from The State of Connecticut and Pompano Beach FL. I also have a race planned for Feb 14 2010 to Benefit M.A.R.F – It will be held in Boca Raton FL, while you are having winter in ST. Louis. Keep up the great work. Come run in the Sun in Feb 2010.
