A note from Alton's Race Director

Posted on Fri Sep 24, 2010 9:37am

Thanks for signing up for our second annual Miles for Meso! We're expecting great weather and a big turnout. Remember to tell your friends and family they can register Saturday morning between 7:30-8:45 a.m. in Alton (be sure to mention the cash giveaways!) The race starts at 9 a.m.

For suggestions on where to park, visit the Miles for Meso website:

Please note that the race starts at #1 Court Street in Alton - that's the location of the new Simmons law firm building which is currently under construction right next to Marquette High School. Please pardon the dust, as the building will be finished early next year. You'll have to come back the following year to see the finished product!

Although it wasn't mentioned on all of the materials, there will be a 3K (1.8 mile) run/walk option for folks who would prefer the shorter distance. Signs and road arrows will mark the split in the course accordingly.

Last, please remember that your support of this event is going to a wonderful cause. You are helping to raise awareness and funds for mesothelioma research. All funds raised with go to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation.

Thank you for your support! Thanks to all our sponsors! See you tomorrow!
