After Sept. 14, general registration goes into effect for $20. And the day of the race, the price is $25. For elite runners, registration costs $20 through Sept. 14, $25 after that and is unavailable on race day. The first 500 participants will receive a free, long-sleeved Miles for Meso T-shirt.

This year’s race organizers have incorporated several new features to help promote awareness of asbestos and mesothelioma. The most exciting new change is a more than 3 fold increase in total prize money for participants who register as elite runners. The top 5 male and female elite winners will now vie for $6,200 in prize money.

First Place: $1,500
Second Place: $750
Third Place: $500
Fourth Place: $250
Fifth Place: $100

To be eligible for cash prizes, runners must be registered as elite status. Additional prizes will be awarded to first through third place runners in all age groups. Elite runners are ineligible for age group awards.
