Posted on Wed Jul 03, 2013 8:50am

It's not too late to register for the 2nd Annual WA Memorial Miles for Meso 5K Race & 2K Fun Run/Walk in Federal Way, Wash. The race will be held on the 4th of July at the Federal Way Community Center, 876 S. 333rd St. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m., and the race starts at 9 a.m.

The race is organized in memory of Dick Dyhrman, a Weyerhaeuser Company Geologist, Bud Hatley, Federal Way School District Athletic Director, and Bob Stewart, Federal Way High School Teacher and Coach. All proceeds go to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation to support patients and their families, provide research grants and create national awareness.

Race Day registration costs $35 for adults 18 and up and $25 for ages 17 and under. Race shirts will be provided to all pre-registered runners. Those registering on race day will receive shirts on a first-come, first-serve basis.
