Register now for the Ohio race to be guaranteed a T-shirt

Posted on Thu Aug 16, 2018 11:07am

The Ohio Miles for Meso 5K Run/Walk, in memory of Bruce A. Waite, will return for its 7th year. This race will take place on Sept. 16 at Ontario High School (467 Shelby Ontario Road).

This race celebrates the life of Bruce A. Waite, a teacher at Mansfield Senior High School from 1959-1989 and an avid runner for over 30 years. He was diagnosed with mesothelioma in 2002 and passed away in 2003. Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer caused by asbestos exposure and can take 10-50 years to develop. We gather to support critical mesothelioma research that will hopefully someday find a cure for this fatal disease. All donations raised will benefit the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation.

You can register here for $25. Use your coupon code from last year’s race to save $5. You can also register on race day starting at 1 p.m. The race will begin at 2 p.m.

Only the first 200 racers to register are guaranteed a long-sleeved T-shirt. Last year, more than 350 people participated in the race, so register now to ensure you get your T-shirt!

Visit the official Bruce A. Waite web page here. You can also like our Facebook page for more updates on all of our races.

Please help us honor Bruce’s memory and support mesothelioma research. Together, a cure is possible.
