MILES FOR MESO - WA MEMORIAL 5K RUN/WALK
The Miles for Meso WA Memorial 5K Run/Walk returns for its second year to beautiful Federal, Washington, on July 4, 2013. The race is organized in honor of the memory Dick Dyhrman, a Weyerhaeuser Company Geologist, Bud Hatley, Federal Way School District Athletic Director, and Bob Stewart, Federal Way High School Teacher and Coach.
Last year, WA Memorial race organizers exceeded their goal to raised funds and awareness about mesothelioma, a deadly cancer caused by asbestos exposure. This year the goal is to raise $15,000 from registration fees and donations that will benefit the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation.

Pre-register by June 25 to receive a $10 discount.
Registration costs:
$25 for Adults 18+
$15 for Ages 17 and under.
From 6/25 to Race Day registration for the 5K Walk/Run costs:
$35 for Adults 18+
$25 for Ages 17 and under
This year a 1/4 mile Kids Dash is also available free of charge for children ages 8 and younger.

Time: 9 AM
Date: July 4th, 2013
Course Description:
The race will start and end in the parking lot of the Federal Way Community Center. The course goes throught the streets of Federal Way and into Celebration Park with part of the course on the BPA Trail and beautiful views of Mt. Ranier.
Race Day Schedule:
Check-in will begin at 7:30 AM
Kids' Dash begins at 8:45 AM
5K Race begins at 9 AM: runners take off first, followed by walkers.
Awards begin at 10 AM
Course closes at 10:30 AM
A pancake breakfast will be available from 9:30 - 11:00 AM (dontation requested)
Race Shirts:
Race shirts will be provided to all pre-registered runners. Those registering on raceday ill recieve shirts on a first-come, first-serve basis.
