About the Simmons Mesothelioma Foundation

With mesothelioma, silence is not the answer. Thousands die each year from this devastating disease. These lives are needlessly lost. Their suffering, and the suffering of their families and loved ones, could and should be prevented.

At the Simmons Mesothelioma Foundation, we're committed to helping to put an end to the pain and suffering caused by mesothelioma. Through research funding, public education, advocacy and supporting families, we are taking an integrated approach to finding a cure and fighting for the rights of victims of this deadly disease.

Our Mission

The Simmons Mesothelioma Foundation will provide much-needed financial, organizational, volunteer, and other resources, to support the national efforts of medical experts and researchers, hospitals, universities, patient caregivers, advocates, and philanthropic organizations in the pursuit of improved quality of life for patients and, ultimately, finding of a cure for mesothelioma.

Our History

The Simmons Mesothelioma Foundation was established as private 501(c)3 non-profit organization in 2010 through a multi-million dollar pledge from the Simmons law firm. In our first year of operation, we will fund a range of projects spearheaded by proven researchers at at NCI designated centers. Through these efforts, we strive to create a legacy of hope for the thousands of people whose lives are touched by this devastating disease.
