The Alton Miles for Meso 5K Run & 3K Fun Run/Walk
12th Annual Event is a Virtual Race Starting on Sept. 26
Miles for Meso is a 5K race and 3K fun run/walk that has taken place in Alton, Illinois since 2009. Hosted by Simmons Hanly Conroy and Metro Tri Club, this exciting event coincides with National Mesothelioma Awareness Day in September. This year’s event is a virtual race, meaning that anyone anywhere can register and participate. All proceeds will benefit the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization.
The Alton race is considered the flagship event for Miles for Meso. Since the Illinois river town hosted the first Miles for Meso race in 2009, the Alton race has raised $350,000 for mesothelioma research.
In an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy, the 2020 Alton Miles for Meso race will be a virtual 5K run and 3K walk. This will allow anyone anywhere to register and participate.
